My primary interest lies in photographing sporting events and special occasions - weddings, family anniversaries and 18th/21st birthday parties for example.

In the case of a wedding, I find it helps to meet the couple at the ceremony or reception venue some time in advance so that we can get to know each other. You can ask any questions you may have, and I can establish roughly what type and quantity of shots you’re interested in. We may well carry out an informal shoot at the same time; possibly you may wish to use one of the images for ‘Save the Date’ cards? Costs can vary hugely depending on your requirements but start from under £600.

Portrait shoots are rather different, and I prefer to complete these at a meaningful location of your choice, perhaps a favourite spot by the sea, in the woods or maybe even your own home or garden. Some people though prefer the privacy and convenience of my own simple home studio. Depending on the time involved and the location, we’ll probably be looking at a ‘shoot cost’ of between £40 - £100 in addition to any prints or a DVD of the digital images.

Pets tend to photograph best on their own since the presence of other dogs can create a distraction! My experience is that shots of animals in action, enjoying themselves and displaying their character are often more liked than those of pets sitting obediently on a rug! However, I can cater for all, from the sedate to the hyperactive! Costs will be very similar to those for portraits
