Photography for me started as a hobby many years ago whilst I was still at school. I have fond memories of standing on the riverbank or by the touchline of a hockey pitch, trying to capture the best angles and action moments that I could, and I remember selling the prints outside the school dining room for 25p each to try to recoup my costs and fund more film ready for the next week.

Over the years I have developed my skills and experimented with new ideas and subjects, but my underlying philosophy has never changed: I want to accurately portray what’s real, not to create an image that was never there. There are times when the occasional special effect does add to an image but generally my post-shoot processing is very simple and is usually restricted to cropping, changing the aspect ratio of the image and making minor adjustments to the exposure and colour saturation levels.

I’d be delighted to discuss any photographic needs that you may have, and I hope that you enjoy looking through my galleries, be they of sporting events, weddings, portraits of people and pets, or some of the other miscellaneous images  I’ve included.
